How Do You Find a Hand’s Total Value?
Start by joining a blackjack table. Once everyone is ready, each player gets two cards face up. The dealer receives two cards as well, one facing up and the other facing down.
Assess your hand and the dealer's exposed card to determine whether to 'hit' (request another card) or 'stand' (maintain your current hand). Strive to approach 21 without exceeding it.
If you think you can safely add to your hand without busting (going over 21), ask for another card. Use your judgment to decide if it's worth the risk.
If your hand's value is high enough (typically 17 or more), you might choose to 'stand'. This means you keep your current hand and the play moves to the next player.
After deciding to hit or stand, you’ll have a final hand value. If it's 21 or less, you stay in the game.
After all players have finalized their decisions, the dealer unveils their concealed card. Subsequently, the dealer will either opt to hit or stand in accordance with conventional blackjack rules.
Compare the value of your hand with that of the dealer's. If your hand approaches closer to 21, you emerge victorious. Conversely, if the dealer's hand is nearer to 21, they secure the win. Payouts from the dealer are contingent on the type of bet placed.
